Strong Performances Lead Cardinals Through Tough Road Matchup

Bel Air, MD – The CCBC Catonsville men's basketball team battled on the road Wednesday night, but ultimately fell 86–70 to Harford Community College.

The Cardinals worked to find rhythm early against a high-energy Harford squad and trailed 41–29 at halftime. CCBC responded with an improved offensive showing in the second half, scoring 41 points after the break, but the early deficit proved difficult to overcome.

Yassir Supreme led the Cardinals with a team-high 20 points, adding nine rebounds and a block while shooting an efficient 9-for-15 from the field. Kamren Hayes delivered a strong all-around performance, finishing with 18 points and 12 rebounds to record a double-double, while also knocking down three three-pointers.

Khalil Montgomery chipped in 12 points on 5-for-8 shooting, and DJ Thomas and Alpha Thiam provided valuable minutes off the bench as CCBC continued to compete through the final horn.

Despite the loss, the Cardinals shot 42.4 percent from the field and 40.9 percent from three-point range, showing offensive balance against a Harford team that connected on 15 three-pointers. CCBC also held its own on the glass, finishing with 33 rebounds.

The Cardinals will look to build on their second-half momentum as they continue conference play and prepare for their next matchup.
