Lady Cardinals Move to March

Catonsville MD, Feb 27, 2026- CCBC Women's Basketball got a big win over the Westmoreland County Wolfpack 105-30 to close out their regular season and clinch a spot in the NJCAA Region 20 Tournament.

The first quarter was as close as the game would stay as the Wolfpack made some shots early on before CCBC was able to force turnovers defensively. The Lady Cardinals were able to keep full court pressure on for much of the game with success, as they took advantage of the Wolfpack's short rotation. Everyone in the Cardinals rotation was able to get at least 3 steals as it was a team defensive effort all night. Keashiana Murphy led in scoring on her sophomore night, while adding in 20 rebounds for a 30-20 double-double. Fellow sophomore, Emily Bartlett who was injured to end her season, ceremoniously started as well on her sophomore night.

This win for the Lady Cardinals snapped a two-game skid and extended their season to make post season play. CCBC Catonsville will travel to WVU Potomac to take them on in the NJCAA Region 20 Quarterfinals. These two met on January 28^th where they met in a 4-point contest that WVU Potomac won 70-66 which included 7 ties and 8 lead changes. CCBC will travel to WVU Potomac on Tuesday March 3^rd as they look to continue their season in win or go home play.
