JD enters his second season at CCBC Catonsville and his first as the interim head coach for the women’s soccer program. JD began his coaching career at his high school alma mater, Perry Hall who are consistently ranked as one of the top 10 boy's varsity programs in the state of Maryland. At Perry Hall, JD held roles as the assistant coach for the boy's varsity soccer program and head coach for the boy's junior varsity (JV) program.
Since leaving Perry Hall, JD has traveled and lived abroad and recently moved back to Baltimore where he accepted the assistant coaching position at CCBC Catonsville. In addition to his duties at CCBC Catonsville, JD currently coaches with Pipeline Soccer Club, one of the premier youth club organizations, not only in the state of Maryland, but in the country. JD is the head coach for Pipeline's 2010 Red Team (Boys). He has coached with Pipeline Soccer Club’s 2002 Girls Gold team as well as several Pipeline SC development academies. He currently holds a National E License through the US Soccer Federation.
JD's playing experience includes several seasons in the Maryland Majors Soccer League as well as playing time with the amateur club St. Petersburg Kickers in Tampa, Florida. During JD’s time in the Marine Corps he played on the All Base Team in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and Okinawa, Japan. Upon being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps as a Sergeant, JD was recruited by St. Leo University (NCAA D2) where they were ranked 14th in the nation by the NCAA. JD played varsity soccer at Perry Hall High School and for various youth clubs in the area such as Baltimore Football Club, Baltimore Select and Potomac Soccer Association.
