Catonsville, MD – The CCBC Catonsville Men's soccer team continued an intense week, that will see them compete in back to back days, winning the first match, Monday against Howard Community College 2-0, and losing a shootout to Northern Virginia Community College 5-3, on Tuesday.
In the game versus Howard, Catonsville led 1-0 at the half when Mamadou Bah scored off an assist from Mike Gagnon. The Cards would add a second half goal from Logan Engel to close out the Dragons 2-0. Goalkeeper Thomas Kwehnah recorded six saves as the Cardinals improved to 6-11.
Less than twenty four hours later, Catonsville headed down I-95 to take on Northern Virginia Community College. The Cardinals fought through fatigue and held a 2-1 lead at the half, before tired legs led to four second half NOVA goals against the normally stingy Cardinal defense. Mike Gagnon got Catonsville on the board early when he netted a pass from Scott DeFrances. Mamadou Bah, who continues his all-conference season, had two goals for Catonsville.
