North East, MD – Scott DeFrances scored three goals and assisted on another, as CCBC Catonsville rolled to a 6-1 victory over Cecil Community College on a wet Tuesday night.
Catonsville (4-8, 3-5) ended a five game losing streak that saw them struggle to score. Coach Patrick Corbett has stayed firm in his belief that if his Cardinals can score early they play a much better team game. Everything was clicking on this night as Mamadou Bah scored back to back goals to give the Cards a early 2-0 lead, and they poured it on from there. Bah finished with two goals, then DeFrances took over, scoring off an assist from Brendan Crossman (three assists). Mike Gagnon also scored after being set up by Crossman to make it 6-1 going into halftime, and the score would remain true until the final horn.
CCBC Catonsville will be back on the road Friday, October 2, for a 4pm match with Howard Community College.
