The CCBC Catonsville Cardinals have named Patrick Corbett as its new head men's soccer coach.
Corbett takes over following coach Keenan McCoy's resignation after the 2014 season.
This is a return to Catonsville for Corbett, having previously coached the women's soccer squad in the 2012 and 2013 seasons. He brings a disciplined style of play to the team, stressing that academics and sportsmanship are as important as skill.
Corbett believes that dedication to school and team, paired with hard work and talent, will once again bring success to the Cardinals men's program.
He holds his 'C' USSF National license and has extensive soccer coaching experience. Corbett coached various teams from 2007 to 2014 within the TSC organization. More recently, he has been coaching with SAC, both boys (U9) and girls (U16).
Corbett was a former junior college standout at Howard Community College from 2006-2008 and captained the team in 2007. He earned his Associate of Arts degree at Howard in 2008 and then attended University of Maryland Baltimore County from 2010-2012, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2012.
Joe Prince will be joining coach Corbett as an assistant coach.
