Catonsville, MD- The CCBC Catonsville Cardinals celebrated sophomore night with a bang. The Cardinals had all five starters score in double figures as they beat Delaware County Community College 82-79 on Tuesday. Sophomores Kurinus Lett and Athan Cowthran celebrated their two year careers scoring in double digits, 11 points each.
Montague Wright led the team with 23 points and Keith Moody added 18 points and 12 rebounds as the Cardinals overcame a six point halftime deficit to win their last home game of the season. Free-throws and rebounding made the difference for the Cards as they shot 79% from the line and recorded 37 rebounds. The Cardinals starters took control of the game early and went into halftime up 6. They kept their foot on the gas, scoring 55 points in the 2nd half.
Catonsville heads to Rowan College next Tuesday at 5pm for the season finale as they look to close their season on a high note.
