Stricker Leads Cardinals to 5-1 Win over Anne Arundel

The CCBC Catonsville Cardinals defeated Anne Arundel 5-1 on Thursday behind a solid pitching performance from Kyle Stricker.  He pitched a two hit complete game, with the only run on a 5th inning home run.  He had no walks, 8 strikeouts and faced only 28 batters (1 over the minimum) in the game. 

 

Offensively, the Cardinals had two hits each from Miles Campbell, Trejon Smith, Logan Sica and Cody Beacorn.  The Cardinals scored first on an rbi single by Beacorn in the 2nd.  They scored what would prove to be the winning run on an rbi single by Sica in the 3rd.   Catonsville  expanded the lead to 3-1 in the fifth on an rbi single by Smith.  The Cardinals closed out their scoring with a 2-run 6th inning on a sacrifice fly by Will Enrico and an rbi single by Campbell.

 

CCBC Catonsville returns to action on Saturday, April 5th with a 12 noon double header versus Frederick.  They host Sussex in a 12 noon double header on Sunday.
