CATONSVILLE, MD - If the 2016 CCBC - If the Catonsville Men's Soccer Club are going to turn their season around, they are going to have to do something about their behavior at home! The Cardinals (3-7 overall, 1-5 MD JUCO) fell victims to the Hawks of College of Southern Maryland 2-1 on Thursday night, in a match played here.
CSM took the early lead with a goal from Dilan Bingham at the eleven minute mark. The match's deciding goal would come shortly later with own goal header from a Catonsville defender back to the keeper that shot wide of the intended keeper target. Yao-Hans Kouame was able to score several minutes later pulling the Cardinals within one. The second half saw Catonsville dominate the ball and fire rapid shots that just wouldn't find the back of the net.
Overall the Cards are a respectable 2-2 on the road, while just 1-4 at home (the other loss coming on a neutral field). If the Catonsville footballers can improve their home record they should be peaking at playoff time.
CCBC returns to the pitch on Tuesday September 27 for a road match versus Chesapeake College, then return home to host Howard Community College on Thursday September 29 at 7pm.
