CATONSVILLE, Md. -- Women's guard Cheyenne Howell had 14 points and three steals for the Lady Cardinals and guard Ke'Andre Gibson led the men with 21 points, as CCBC Catonsville swept a Saturday double header from visiting Frederick Community College.
The Lady Cardinals (4-4, 3-2 Maryland JUCO) overcame an early 15-9 deficit in the first quarter and went on to win 47-34. Howell led Catonsville with 14 points and the deep Cardinal bench kept constant pressure on the ladies from Frederick.
Dominique Kellum had 12 points and eight rebounds for Catonsville.
The Cardinals played its third game in a busy week, this time defeating visiting Frederick Community College 86-76 beind a dominating performance by freshman Ke'Andre Gibson.
Gibson had 13 assists to go along with 21 points and four steals.
Jalen Myrie had 16 points and contributed six rebounds. Eddy Harry came off the bench to score 12 and had four rebounds.
The Cardinals (7-2, 5-1 Maryland JUCO) are currently tied for second place in the Maryland JUCO Conference, with a huge game coming up Thursday against first place Garrett Community College.
